CALM offers a helpline & webchat service for men of all ages that’s free, confidential and anonymous.
0800 585858 (national)
0808 802 5858 (London)
Open 5pm-midnight, every day of the year.
CALM’s website is a source of information about a range of issues including drugs, depression and debt, as well as an engaging platform for men to find solidarity in other men’s stories and shared experiences. Check outwww.thecalmzone.net. Anyone, regardless of age, gender or geographic location can call the helpline and visit the website; we are happy to help, we do not turn people away.
We produce a quarterly lifestyle magazine, the CALMzine, aimed at taking our message to young men, which is distributed across London and in TOPMAN stores across the UK.
We challenge a culture that prevents men seeking help when they need it and we push for changes in policy and practice so that suicide is better prevented. We also host the Suicide Bereavement Support Partnership (SBSP), which aims to ensure that everyone bereaved or affected by suicide is offered and receives timely and appropriate support.
